Firefox загружает 1 ядро процессора на 100%

С недавнего времени ФФ начал загружать одно ядро процессора на 100%. Как правило это происходит при "плохом" интернете.
При попытке его закрыть вываливается в ошибку с отправкой данных. Что может быть и как победить его?
