Не помогает в чём? Java Console не имеет никакого отношения к работе самой Java в браузере. Java в браузере включается или отключается через Плагины.
Oracle заявил что расширение Java Console в браузере не нужно и обновляться не будет:

This is the expected behavior. With 6u10 there is no longer a single JVM attached to the web browser; there might be more than one. For this reason the Java Console menu item doesn't have a clear semantic and we are not planning to support this menu item going forward. You can turn on the Java Console using the Java Control Panel.

Подскажите плииз, а как убрать "Java Console несовместимо с Firefox 7.0.1." из списка расширений? У меня их целых 14 строчек.
